At Mount Moriah Stables, we create a safe and therapeutic environment for you to grow and heal. The relationship you will form with a horse is a crucial component to the healing process. We have a strong team comprised of counselors and equine specialists.
All programs and services adhere to the national standards and ethics developed by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH Intl), Equine Facilitated Learning and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, in addition to those ethics developed by the Equine Growth And Learning Association (EAGALA).

Debra is a PATH International Certified Equine Specialist with an Instructor Certification in PATH Equine Service for Heroes and a member of the Equine Experiential Education Association. Debra is focusing on equine-assisted mental health/horse therapy.
Michelle Kaye, MA, LPC - Executive Director, Founder of Operation Equine: Lead Therapist & Facilitator
Michelle has had the honor of working with Military Service Members, Veterans, and their families for over 7 years through her private practice, as well as with organizations such as Project Sanctuary and TAPS, and through the MFLC (Military Family and Life Counselor) program, both nationally & internationally. In co-creating Equine Response, where she served Emergency Responders utilizing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning (EAP/L), she was inspired to expand her knowledge and services to work more extensively with them and their families, as well.
Michelle earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado-Denver and has been licensed for over 10 years. Her experience and expertise include training and certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning (EAP/L) with EAGALA and EponaQuest; Mindfulness Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Solution-Focused Brief Therapy; and Trauma training for Military Service Members, Veterans, and for children.
