The mission of Project Sanctuary is to empower our at-risk military families to transition from battle-ready to family-ready by providing six-day, outdoor, therapeutic retreats in a healing environment. Our Family Support program provides a support network of counselors, social workers, and graduate families, and case management for all military families in need.

Project Sanctuary is one of the only organizations with a military family and mental health focus. Our approach is simple. We listen, then we create evidence-based solutions to solve problems using a combination of coursework, counseling, and recreational activities designed to connect and empower families. No other organization is providing a renewed sense of hope to ENTIRE military families, including children and teens of all ages.

Teaching the tools that military families need to thrive is an integral part of our two-year therapeutic program. We partner with national industry leaders to tailor programs specific to the needs of military families.

PsychArmor

Operation is proud to be serving our Military and Veteran Families as a Psycharmor-approved Veteran-Ready Organization!

PsychArmor® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers critical resources to Americans so they can effectively engage with and support military service members, Veterans, and their families.

Because fewer than 7% of Americans serve or have served in uniform, most civilians are unfamiliar with military culture. As a result, members of the military and Veteran community often feel misunderstood and reluctant to seek support. Our mission is to bridge that civilian-military gap by educating a nation.

At PsychArmor, we provide free online training videos delivered by national subject matter experts who are fiercely committed to educating the civilian community about military culture. Additionally, our Support Center provides follow-up coaching to reinforce the knowledge conveyed in our courses.

Responder Strong

ResponderStrong is committed to the notion that mental resiliency is vital to the overall performance and wellbeing of emergency responders from recruitment through retirement, as well as to their families, and the people and communities they serve. Functioning as an umbrella entity, we are responsible for creating an accessible network of existing resources, identifying and filling the gaps, creatively leveraging and amplifying existing expertise, and brokering partnerships to address unmet needs.

Beginning in 2016, representatives from the emergency responder community in Aurora, Colorado teamed up with the National Mental Health Innovation Center at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. We have united representatives across Colorado from law enforcement, EMS, fire, and dispatch, as well as therapists and other experienced support professionals, to form a core group motivated to address these issues. As a result, the first attempt to mobilize mental wellness efforts across emergency responder sectors in Colorado emerged and the ResponderStrong™ organization was born. From 35 members in August 2016, the initiative has now grown to more than 500 members.

The Lifegiver Clinician Directory

SERVICE FAMILIES NEED TO CONNECT WITH CLINICIANS

Military and first responder families are under an immense amount of pressure. Finding high-quality help is difficult when you don't know what you are looking for. The Lifegiver Directory makes this step easy. Families looking for hope are able to search for culturally competent clinicians easily as well as organizations that support them. Families can search for providers that are military spouses, veterans, first responder spouses, and even search clinicians that take their insurance. The Lifegiver Directory also provides a way for families to search clinicians that are providing online telehealth, or distance counseling. Using the searchable Telehealth list, this platform opens up new opportunities to creatively get the help they need.
